Creamy Peri Peri Chicken Livers

I LOVE chicken livers. To be honest, I think its more the Peri Peri sauce than the actual livers that I am in love with and it was the sauce that got me hooked on them 2 years ago. A couple of months ago I tried out a creamy version of Peri Peri Chicken Livers at a restaurant and it was delicious. So naturally I tried to recreate it at home and the result was the most delicious Creamy Peri Peri Chicken Livers ever!!!

A little bit of background

I grew up with a mother and a big sister who cook the most amazing food and some of my fondest memories took place in the kitchen. Ironically enough, I never helped much in the kitchen (apart from making a salad and stealing the crunchy bits out of my sisters roast-potato pot) until I moved out of the house.

I can remember sitting on the kitchen counter every day while my mother prepared dinner and although I didn't really cook until I moved out the house I can make all my mothers recipes with my eyes closed.

As for my sister, there is a large 13 year age gap between us and I used to spend alot of time at her house growing up. My sister loves to cook and bake (especially bake) and I was always in her kitchen chatting to her while she whipping up something fabulous.

So I guess its no surprise then, that when I moved out of house and home, I fell completely in love with cooking. My sister and I swap recipes on a daily basis and I always have her and my mother on speed-dial when disaster strikes.

I get my hands on every recipe, cooking magazine and cooking blog I can find so I am always trying new recipes and very often I create my own. All the recipes on this blog are my own: either recreated from something I ate at a restaurant, adapted from multiple recipes or simply out my head depending on whats in the fridge.
